2013 Pascal & Nicolas Reverdy Terre de Maimbray Sancerre

Pascal Reverdy’s domaine is based in the tiny hamlet of Maimbray. Maimbray is located in a valley surrounded by chalk hills adjacent to Chavignol and Verdigny. From their small cellar they produce one of France’s most highly awarded Sancerres’.

Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. The nose exhibits fresh lime and citrus top notes overlaid by fresh herbs and some grassy characters with traces of mineral also present. Light vibrant palate flavours of lime, fresh asparagus and grassy characters are to the fore followed by a crunchy stony mineral infused finish. Good aftertaste of lime, fresh herbs, citrus, grassy characters and stony mineral.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
