2013 Roaring Meg Pinot Noir

This Pinot underwent 9 months French oak maturation. Semi translucent bright dark red purple colour with a light purple red hue. The nose shows good perfumed lift with scents of violets, fresh dark cherries and subtle anise all intermixed over a background of spicy cedar. Light and fresh the palate has flavours of dark ripe cherries and plum followed by subtle anise and spicy toasted cedar. Dry finish with lively acidity and fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of ripe dark cherries, subtle anise and spicy cedar.
