2013 Warrabilla Reserve Durif

Very youthful but spectacular inky black colour with a deep saturated dark purple black hue. The nose exudes pronounced dark morello cherry and liquorice scents followed by some dark chocolate, cedar, vanilla and spice. Full bodied and dense , the palate is engulfed with a blast of black cherry, morello cherries, liquorice and dark chocolate with a spicy vanillin/cedary oak background. Enormous fruit weight with velvety, structural tannins providing the framework. Very long aftertaste of black cherry, liquorice, dark chocolate, vanillin oak and spice. A Durif dynamo that will continue to develop for 6-8 years or more. Alc 16.5%
