2014 Altas Cumbres Malbec

Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a bright dark red hue. Stalky dried herb top notes mixed in with black cherries are followed by earthy cedar and spice. Light in weight with a hard edge to the flavour profile of spicy dried clove characters intermixed with subtle dark and dried cherries, scorched cedar and spice. Dry finish with slightly chalky tannins and bright acidity. Modest aftertaste of dried cloves, spice, dried cherries and scorched earth. Pass.
