Black as night core with a deep dark red hue. Nosing offers up scents of black cherry, liquorice and blackpepper which morph into earth and spicy leather notes. Rich liquorice aniseed like flavours are to the fore with blackberry, subtle dried herbs, vanillin cedar and peppered scorched earth elements ensuing. Sturdy tannins provide good support. Concludes long, firm and richly fruited. A weighty fruit loaded wine backed by firm tannins which have yielded with bottle age.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
