2014 Bouvet-Ladubay Zero Extra Brut

Made from Chenin and Chardonnay grapes. A lacy mousse dissipates to reveal a pale straw base wine that possesses a very persistent and fine bead. Elevated aromatics of pears, baked apple and citrus are followed by yeast lees and subtle bready notes. Lean and very dry with a racy mouthfeel and crisp conclusion the palate is elegantly flavoured with baked pears, green apple and refreshing lemony citrus characters over yeast lees, light toast and a hint of mineral. Finishes dry with cleansing acidity and an aftertaste of pears, fresh lemony citrus, green apple, some baked characters, lees and traces of mineral.
