2014 Chateau de Lamarque Marquis d'Evry

A blend of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot. Totally opaque black dark red core with a deep dark red hue. Aromas of blackcurrant and hints of liquorice are complexed by earth, spicy cedar and subtle black olive notes. Medium to full bodied there’s ample richness to the blackcurrant and black cherry fruit which sits over a backdrop of scorched earth, black olive and spicy cedar. Dry finish with slightly chewy robust tannins. Good length with a medium to long blackcurrant, black cherry, earthy liquorice, scorched cedar and spicy black olive aftertaste.
