2014 Cloudy Bay Te Wahi Pinot Noir

Excellent depth displaying a dark red black tinged core with a dark purple red hue. The nose is a touch reserved with aromas of black cherries intertwined with liquorice, smoky cedar, earth, subtle dried meats and spice emerging. Rich and brooding this is a very concentrated Pinot Noir that still remains quite tightly knit. Flavours of black cherries laced with anise and smoky oak overlay earth, some meatiness and spice. Robust yet fine grained tannins. Excellent power with a long black cherry, subtle liquorice, smoky cedar, earthy dried meat and spice aftertaste.
