2014 Dog Point Vineyard Pinot Noir

Matured in a combination of new and older French oak barrels for a period of 18 months. Excellent depth of colour displaying a deep dark red black tinged core with a dark red purple hue. Pronounced spicy ripe dark cherry and dark plum aromas arise from the glass with ensuing toasty oak, anise and spicy earth. The palate is endowed with beautiful rich, supplely textured fruit that sails long onto the finish. Flavours of dark cherries and dark plum provide the mid palate flesh with following nuances of toasty oak, touches of anise and spicy earth. Excellent power wave. The tannins smooth and perfectly integrated. Long aftertaste of spicy dark cherries, dark plums, savoury earth, toasty oak and spice.
Cellar 5-6 years.
