2014 Fat Bastard Chardonnay

A big fully worked style of Chardonnay that bucks the current trend of lighter styled Australian Chardonnays

Brilliant straw colour with some greenish highlights around the edges and a watery hue. Intense ripe peach and apricot scents intermeshed with honeycomb are followed by some light butterscotch and citrusy nougat. Rich, viscous, almost buttery like mouthfeel with ripe peach and apricot flavours to the fore sitting alongside some honeycomb infusions, cashew and citrusy nougat. Quite fresh and lively on the finish with a medium to long aftertaste of ripe peaches, apricot, honeycomb, citrusy nougat and spicy butterscotch. Give it a few years to fatten up a bit more.
Cellar 3-4 years.
