2014 Hewitson Ned & Henry's Shiraz
The creation of a challenge made to wine maker Dean Hewitson to make a traditional, full bodied Barossa Valley red that could be drunk young, the Ned & Henry’s Shiraz passes the criteria with flying colours. Dean declaring 2014 as one of his best vintages.
Matured in seasoned French oak for approximately 15 months. Totally opaque black purple colour with a dark purple hue. Scented aromas of ripe dark plums, liquorice and blackberries are followed by some smoky vanillin cedar and spicy fennel. Rich, juicy and supplely textured this delicious medium to full bodied Shiraz is already very approachable, generously flavoured with spicy dark plum, liquorice, fennel infusions and smoky cedar. Round opulent mouthfeel with silky smooth tannins. Long aftertaste of dark plum, liquorice, fennel and spicy, lightly smoked cedar.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.

Cracking quality. Draws you in. Red and black berries, aniseed, wood spice, fresh leather. Delights as it dances along your tongue. Plentiful but then smoky and controlled through the finish. Compelling value. Drink by 2028.
