2014 John Duval Entity Shiraz

Matured for 17 months in French oak. Magnificent colour displaying an impenetrable midnight black core with a deep dark purple black hue. Beautifully scented blackberry, dark plum, liquorice and subtle dark chocolate aromas gently rise from the glass with smoky vanillin cedar and blackpepper nuances following on. Medium to full bodied with tremendous fruit richness and poise the palate dishes up a sumptuous flavour profile of liquorice intermixed with ripe dark plums and blackberries over a backdrop of lightly toasted vanillin cedar and spice. Gloriously rich, yet refined and supple in its mouthfeel with velvet smooth perfectly integrated tannins. Excellent power with a long conclusion of ripe dark plums, liquorice, blackberries and spicy vanillin cedar.
