2014 Pascal et Nicholas Reverdy Terre de Maimbray Sancerre

Pascal Reverdy’s domaine is based in the tiny hamlet of Maimbray. Maimbray is located in a valley surrounded by chalk hills adjacent to Chavignol and Verdigny. From their small cellar they produce one of France’s most highly awarded Sancerres’.

A fabulous example of Sancerre with great depth of flavour.

Brilliant water like colour with a faint greenish tinge around the outskirts. Lifted fresh herb notes merge into some grassiness and lime followed by green apple and lightly spiced asparagus scents. The palate possesses terrific intensity with flavours of lime infused with fresh herbs and citrus overlaying some herbaceous grassy characters, fresh asparagus and spice. Crisp refreshing finish. Long aftertaste of grassy characters, citrus, fresh herbs, lime and asparagus. Drink over the next 2-3 years.
