2014 Paxton Quandong Farm Shiraz

Certified biodynamic. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a crimson purple hue. The nose offers up an elevated aromatic profile of liquorice and blackberries with a dark chocolate overlay followed by vanillin cedar and a hint of spicy mocha. Medium to full bodied with a rich smooth palate entry that features flavours of liquorice, dark chocolate and blackberries over some well integrated vanillin oak and spice. The velvety tannins have good underlying structure. Excellent depth displaying a refined soft textural quality. Long finish of liquorice, dark chocolate, blackberries, vanillin oak and spice.
