2014 Whistling Eagle Vineyard Eagles Blood Shiraz

Impenetrable inky black core with a very deep dark purple black tinged hue. Intense liquorice and ripe blackberry aromas drift from the glass followed by smoky vanillin cedar, subtle black olive and blackpepper notes. Large scaled, rich and powerful with a statuesque framework for the lavish black fruits to work around, densely concentrated liquorice, black cherry and blackberry flavours swamp the mouth over a back drop of vanillin oak, crushed rock and blackpepper. Ripe chewy tannins apply a robust feel to the back palate. Long finish of liquorice, ripe black cherries, blackberries, spicy vanillin oak and blackpepper.
