2015 Caliterra Tributo Carmenere

Produced from 98% Carmenere and 2% Carignan. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Aromas of red and blackcurrant are overlaid by distinct tobacco notes with dried herbs and spicy cedar also evident. Medium weight with good richness and an elegant structure the palate delivers a savoury flavour profile of ripe red and black currant fruit that’s intertwined with cedary tobacco infusions and spicy dried herb elements. Supple mid palate finishing dry with finely grained tannins. Aftertaste of spicy blackcurrant, cedary tobacco characters and dried herbs.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.

This is focused and beautiful with blackberry, fresh herb and hints of spice. Some stone as well. Full to medium body, balanced tannins. Very pretty finish. Drink now.
