2015 Domaine Remi Jobard Meursault 1er Cru Genevrieres
Other Reviews....
Bright, healthy yellow. Very ripe aromas of peach and apricot come across as a bit more evolved than those of the Poruzots but then this barrel finished its sugars earlier and is a bit lower in SO2 now. Sappy and concentrated, conveying a strong impression of chewy dry extract to its very ripe, rich yellow fruit flavors. Hard to assess with confidence but certainly very rich. These last few wines are carrying close to 14% alcohol.

The Genevrières is a very elegant, nicely balanced wine this year, with a classic bouquet of buttered apples, citrus zest, white flowers and subtle hazlenut. On the palate the wine is very texturally refined, with a gentle saline minerality, lovely energy and a long finish. Drinking Window 2018 - 2040
