Opaque black dark red core with a very dark red hue. Ripe dark plum aromatics intermix with hints of liquorice, dark chocolate, spicy vanillin cedar, hints of earthy tobacco and dried herbs. Medium bodied with a sense of elegance to the rich plum, dark chocolate and liquorice fruit, there’s a back drop of earthy vanillin cedar, tobacco and dried herbs. Spicy finish with fine grained velvet like tannins. Plush mouthfeel concluding with a medium length aftertaste.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
Alc. 14.2%
A grand merlot in a regional sense, with generous plummy fruit, served by a waft of gentle balancing tannins, dried herb savour, bitter chocolate and high quality cinnamon oak, nestled nicely into the fold. Like a warm leather armchair to which one returns time and time again. Plush and expansive. Drink by 2025.
