2015 Pascal et Nicolas Reverdy Terre de Maimbray Sancerre

Pascal Reverdy’s domaine is based in the tiny hamlet of Maimbray. Maimbray is located in a valley surrounded by chalk hills adjacent to Chavignol and Verdigny. From their small cellar they produce one of France’s most highly awarded Sancerres’.

Brilliant pale straw colour with a faint tinge of green around the outskirts and a watery hue. On the nose herbaceous grassy characters intermix with lime and fresh herb infusions followed by citrus, light pencil shaving characters and spice. The palate has good fullness in the mouth with generous flavours of limes and traces of green apple laced with fresh garden herbs over some spicy grassy characters. Finishes dry with excellent freshness and an aftertaste of limes, fresh garden herbs, citrus and a spicy grassiness.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
