2015 Rockridge Cellar Selection Watervale Shiraz

Matured in French oak hogsheads for 18 months. Impenetrable inky black colour with a deep dark purple black tinged hue. Strong aromatics of crushed dark and black raspberries, liquorice and fresh dark plum are followed by hints of vanillin cedar and spice. Rich and succulent with a plush feel the palate is decorated with ripe black raspberries, freshly crushed blackberries and liquorice which sit over a back drop of inky vanillin cedar and spice. Slightly dryish tannins are largely absorbed by the juicy ripe fruit. Solid length with an aftertaste of succulent black raspberries, blackberries, liquorice, inky vanillin cedar and spice.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
