A wonderful Coonawarra Cabernet with rich blackcurrant fruit framed by rippling tannins.

Beautifully coloured with a black as night core and deep dark red black tinged hue. On the nose ripe blackcurrant, liquorice and mulberry aromas show excellent intensity overlaying cedary tobacco characters, hints of black olive and spicy dried herbs. Saturating the mouth are rich blackcurrant flavours which are framed by rippling tannins giving the palate a sturdy feel. Liquorice, ripe mulberry, well integrated cedary tobacco characters, dried herb elements and spice all chime in to add complexity. Firmish yet perfectly meshed tannins offer some appealing grip to the finish. Excellent depth with a long ripe blackcurrant, subtle liquorice, cedary tobacco character, dried herb and spice aftertaste.
Cellar 6-8 years.
Alc. 14.5%

Other Reviews….
A statuesque cabernet brimful of bold, curranty fruit and with all the complexity and structure you could hope for. This is an absolute beauty. Tobacco, cloves, smoky oak and a range of ripe, dark berried fruit. When Coonawarra cabernet is good, it's exceptional. Drink by 2042.
