2015 Trapeze Pinot Noir
From the Outstanding 2015 Yarra valley vintage this elegant, long and deliciously flavoured Pinot delivers fantastic everyday drinking.
Semi translucent dark red colour with a crimson red hue. A very fragrant nose of violets, ripe red cherries and strawberries blossom from the glass with hints of dried clove and spicy cedar ensuing. Light in body the palate is filled with delicious ripe red cherry and strawberry flavours which sail long into the finish over a background of anise, some delicate meatiness and spicy cedar. Fresh acidity counterpoints the supple textural feel beautifully. Excellent length with a long savoury aftertaste of spicy ripe red cherries, strawberries, subtle infusions of anise and meaty cedar.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
Alc 13.5%
Other Reviews….
Made by a team of two (James Lance and Brian Conway), the expertise shining brightly through the wine. You realise this is upper class the second you swirl and taste it, and reflect on the great vintage. It is an exercise in silk and velvet, with length that extends further each time you return to it. Spice is a constant companion (no Le Carre) as you learn more and more about the offer. Drink by 2027.

James Halliday – Australian Wine Companion
It’s autumn and spring rolled into one glass. Cherries and roses up top, spice and undergrowth below. Oak is discreet, and it’s quietly, but insistently fruity with a firm bed of lightly grainy tannin, and a spicy finish of excellent length. It’s kind of serious, and not at the same time. I think it’s very good.
