2015 Veuve Clicquot Vintage Champagne

A blend of 50% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Meunier sourced from selected Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards with an average of 5 years on lees. A plentiful mousse slowly dissipates to reveal a pale straw coloured base that has pale gold tinged edges. Very persistent and fine bead. Pronounced citrus and yeast lees aromas mingle with baked bread, almond, chalk and subtle toast. Racy and tense the palate is vividly sculptured by crisp acidity with citrus, oily toast and yeast lees characters melding into a dry chalky back drop of oyster shells and minerals. Airy mouth feel finishing long and stimulating.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
