2016 Adelphi Ardmore 7 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Drinkers who don't mind a bit of smoke, "but not too much" are gravitating to Ardmore. It remains the only Highland distillery to have consistently produced peated malt since its inception. What's more, local peat is used, giving it a sense of place that differentiates it from Island styles. The peat is said to contribute a smokey sweetness to the malt, instead of a strong maritime or medicinal character. Ardmore's output remains largely reserved for the Teacher's blend. This Adelphi selection was matured in a single refill oloroso Sherry butt and is limited to 634 bottles. 61.1% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.
