2016 Bannockburn Chardonnay

Matured in new French oak puncheons, one third new for 14 months on lees. Brilliant straw colour with a watery hue. Pronounced aromas of peaches and poached pears meld into honeycomb, roasted characters, hints of cashew, nougat and lemon butter. Rich, concentrated and buttery in texture, luscious honeyed peach flavours and a touch of apricot fill the mouth over a back drop of honeycomb, nougat, cashew and spice. The broad, round mid palate counterpointed by balanced acidity on the finish. Outstanding richness and depth with a long honeyed peach, crème brulee, honeycomb, nougat and spicy cashew aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
