2016 Barking Mad Watervale Riesling

Sourced from Reillys 250 acre St Clare vineyard at Watervale, this is the first vintage in which a new bag press technology has been utilised resulting in faster handling of the fruit (pressed within 2 hours of being picked). This in turn enables the winery to produce their typically concentrated Rieslings with a greater level of freshness, at a ripping price.

Brilliant very pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Intense aromatics of lime, citrus and orange rind leap from the glass followed by some talc and spice. Concentrated lime and citrus flavours dominate the palate over some orange rind and talc infusions. Finishes with crisp acidity and an aftertaste of lime, citrus, orange rind and subtle talc infusions.
