2016 Blue Poles Reserve Merlot

Opaque dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Elevated aromatics of red to blackcurrant and mulberry infused with bay leaf overlay subtle cedary tobacco characters and spice. Very elegant and refined in its feel the palate has good underlying structure with flavours of red currants and mulberries sitting over a back drop of vanillin cedar, light tobacco and spicy bay leaf. Dryish finish with finely grained yet deceptively sturdy tannins. Finishes medium to long with plenty of finesse.
