2016 Cantina Tollo Rocca Ventosa Montepulciano d'Abruzzo

Opaque dark red black colour with a bright purple red hue. Aromas of inky dark cherries and sour cherries meet up with earthy and spicy dried herbs. Soft and fleshy the palate has generous flavours of ripe dark cherries shaded by traces of liquorice over some earth and spicy dried herbs. Dryish finish with finely grained tannins. Aftertaste of ripe dark cherries, a touch of liquorice, lightly scorched earth and spicy dried herbs. A great everyday drinking red.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
