2016 Cobos Volturno Marchiori Estate

A blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Malbec. Magnificent dense inky black colour with a very deep dark red black hue. A potent combination of blackcurrant, liquorice and black cherry aromatics are complimented by hints of ripe blueberries, dark chocolate, vanillin oak, dried herbs and spice. A tidal wave of fruit hits the palate with tremendous force sending shockwaves right through to the sensationally long finish. Densely textured, lavish flavours of blackcurrant, blackberry and liquorice saturate the mouth over a back drop of vanillin oak, subtle dark chocolate and spicy dried herbs. Ripe chewy tannins form the backbone but are largely absorbed by the wealth of opulence that this wine is. Concludes with an exceptionally long aftertaste. A very lavish expression of Mendoza Cabernet.
