2016 Crawford River Museum Release Riesling
The fruit for this wine is sourced from the original Crawford River vines, planted in the mid 1970’s. After fermentation is complete the wine is held on fine lees for a minimum of 8 weeks which adds a textural element to the wine. This wine has been carefully cellared at the winery, and has now been released for prime drinking.
Other Reviews....
A wine that stops you in your tracks for it has intensity of flavour yet feels effortless. The silk thread of acidity down the middle keeping the fine palate in place right through to a finish that is luxuriously long. Drink by 2030.

Great to see these mature release wines from Crawford River. Prophetic review from CM from the young release too…
This is flying. Beautiful wine marrying gentle maturity in characters of lightly toasted white bread, honeysuckle, wild honey, candle wax and yet impossible freshness of Granny Smith apple and lime. The palate is bright albeit gently slippery with age, more of the secondary characters of the bouquet and still holding a compact, racy form. The finish is almost sparkling with pink grapefruit and gin-like botanical zestiness. Stellar. Drink 2023 - 2030+
