2016 De Bortoli Windy Peak Shiraz

Totally opaque black dark purple colour with a dark purple hue. Youthful aromatics of freshly crushed blackberries, ripe dark cherries and liquorice are followed by some vanillin oak and spice. Possessing a plump textural feel and excellent richness, juicy dark berry flavours of blackberries, ripe dark cherries and plum fill the palate over some liquorice and spicy vanillin oak. Finishes with a trace of inkiness, finely grained tannins and vibrant, youthful acidity. Good length with an aftertaste of juicy ripe dark fruits, liquorice and spicy vanillin cedar. A great entry level Heathcote Shiraz.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
