2016 Domaine A Stoney Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Pitch black dark red core with a deep dark red hue. Elevated ripe blackcurrant and mulberry fruits mix with cedary tobacco notes, dried herbs, earth and spice. Medium weighted with a generous feel to the ripe blackcurrant fruits, elements of mulberry, dusty cedar, tobacco leaf, dried herbs and spicy black olives then move in. Lively acidity and firmish tannins wrap a tight coil around the fruit giving the wine a restrained feel. Dryish, slightly grippy medium length aftertaste.
Cellar 4-5 years.

Includes 4% each of merlot and cabernet franc, matured in 2yo French oak. In true Domaine A style, reluctant to allow the fruit to escape the bonds of tannin and acidity, yet its balance can't be denied. Drink by 2041.
