2016 Five Geese Jon’s Block Reserve Shiraz

Midnight black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Potent liquorice, ripe black cherry and dark to black plum aromas sail out of the glass followed by some vanillin oak, earthy mocha, faint leather and spicy fennel notes. Medium to full bodied and possessing a plush textural feel, luscious aniseed and dark plum flavours meld into a vanillin oak, earthy fennel and subtle spicy leather back drop. Velvet smooth tannins with a silky medium to long finish that’s starting to dry out a touch.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
