2016 Grant Burge 5th Generation Cabernet Merlot

Totally opaque black dark red core with a bright dark red hue. Aromas of red currant and mulberry intermingle with cedary tobacco characters and spice. Medium bodied with rich red currant flavours dominate over infusions of bay leaf, vanillin cedar, light tobacco and spice. Dryish finish with sturdy fine grained tannins. Ends with an aftertaste of ripe red currants, bay leaf infusions, spicy vanillin cedar and a hint of tobacco.
