2016 Joseph Faiveley Bourgogne Pinot Noir

Quite deep in colour with a dark red core surrounded by black tinged edges and a dark red hue. Fragrant violet top notes lead into a nose filled with red cherries, ripe winter strawberries, light toasty earth, fresh garden herbs and spice. Light in body with a fresh elegant feel the palate is littered with crunchy red fruits which sit over a back drop of forest floor, toasty cedar and spice. Finishes with bright acidity, slightly dryish but fine grained tannins and a medium length aftertaste. A tasty entry level Burgundy that delivers good value.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
