2016 Mitchelton Heathcote Shiraz

Sourced from two fastidiously maintained vineyards located on the renown Mt Camel Ridge. Impenetrable inky black core with a very deep dark red black hue. Wafting from the glass are dark plum, liquorice, blackberry and black cherry aromatics followed by vanillin oak, subtle earthy graphite like notes and blackpepper. Rich, structured and powerful this has all the hallmarks of Heathcote Shiraz. Full bodied, the palate is deeply concentrated with blackberry, liquorice and dark plum fruit. Some black cherry elements also chime in over a back drop of vanillin oak, scorched earth and blackpepper. Opulent yet muscular feel with a robust tannin framework. Concludes long with a chewy black fruit led aftertaste.
