2016 North Star Dalmunach 6 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Given the recent boom in both blends and single malts, companies like Pernod Ricard have been challenged to invest in expanding existing capacity or in building new projects, like Dalmunach. Established in 2015 on the site of the now closed 'Imperial Distillery', Dalmunach is one of the industry's babies but with a big production capacity, no doubt to rival Diageo's construction of Roseisle. Understandably, very few bottlings have been released to date, so this is something of a sneak preview from North Star. It comes finished in a ruby port barrel with a yield of 285 bottles at 56.4%.
