2016 Paxton Organic MV Shiraz

Matured in a combination of French and American oak barriques. Excellent colour saturation displaying a pitch black core with a very deep dark red black hue. Lifted aromas of dark plum, liquorice and hints of ripe blueberries blossom from the glass with vanillin cedar and spicy fennel ensuing. Medium to full bodied with good richness and a plush mouthfeel the palate features flavours of juicy blackberries, dark plums and liquorice over vanillin cedar and spicy pepper. Slightly dryish finish but otherwise velvet like tannins. Aftertaste of spicy dark plums, blackberries, liquorice, vanillin cedar and pepper.
