2016 Powell & Son Roussanne Marsanne

Bright deep straw colour with a pale straw hue. Exotically scented, the nose offers up a mixture of dried apricot, ripe pear and cinnamon aromas laced with honeysuckle followed by some bees wax, a subtle nuttiness and spice. Rich and full in body with a viscous textural feel the palate dishes up mouthfilling flavours of dried apricots, ripe pears, bees wax and honeysuckle over a faint nuttiness and subtle cinnamon spice. Good balanced acidity counterpoints the wines rich textured feel. Long aftertaste of bees wax, honeysuckle, dried apricots, subtle dried nuts and spice.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
