2016 Vina Cobos Bramare Valle de Uco Malbec
Malbec is grown throughout Mendoza, with the Uco Valley in the south including the sub districts of Tupungato and La Consulta, two new hot spots for cooler climate Malbec. Bramare (brah-MAH-reh) is an Italian word meaning "to yearn for", and pays tribute to the heritage of the Marchiori family.
Black as night colour with a deep bright purple red hue. Soaring out of the glass are intense aromatics of dark plum, liquorice and ripe blackberries which are married to vanillin oak. Notions of fennel, light earth and spicy herbs ensue. Medium to full bodied, juicy dark plum, ripe blueberry and liquorice flavours meld into vanillin cedar and trailing hints of chocolate, earth and subtle spicy dried herbs. Opulent yet elegantly built with finely tuned acidity, refined but sturdy tannins and a long blue to dark fruited aftertaste.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc. 14%
