2016 Voyager Estate Chardonnay

Brilliant pale straw colour with a subtle greenish tinge around the edges and a watery hue. Lifted white peach and ripe nectarine aromas meld into dried honey and biscuity oak followed by some citrusy nougat and light gun flint notes. Medium bodied the palate is richly flavoured with white peaches, nectarines and dried honey which intermingle with delicate cashew, biscuity nougat and spice elements. Round creamy mid palate feel finishing dry with good freshness, excellent power and a lingering aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

Dijon clones 76, 95 and 96 and Gin Gin clone, chilled overnight, whole-bunch pressed, fermented in French oak (36% new), 25% mlf, matured for 11 months. The greatest fruit weight and mouthfeel of the Voyager Chardonnays to its complex array of white peach, nectarine and cashew/oak surroundings. Drink by 2030.
