Arran's pure, creamy malt works a treat in this intense and feisty island whisky. Phenolic, sweet grainy aromas conjure Granita biscuits dunked in Lagavulin, and if the nose is at first a little shy, the palate more than makes amends - lashings of peat countered by hints of cheesecake and hot lemon chutney in a finish that crescendoes beyond expectations. Beautifully textural and mouth filling. Our most buxom Lochranza to date! 240 bottles from a refill bourbon barrel. 59.1% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.
