2017 Ad Hoc Straw Man Sauvignon Blanc Semillon

Refreshingly dry and crisp, this is an outstanding example of Margaret River’s signature white blend.

A blend of 75% Sauvignon Blanc and 25% Semillon with 10% of the juice fermented in 2 year old oak for two months. Brilliant water like colour with a faint greenish tinge to the outskirts. Intensely aromatic lime, passionfruit and gooseberry scents fill the nostrils followed by some grassy notes, citrus and fresh herbs. The palate matches the intensity of the nose delivering mouthfilling flavours of fresh herbaceous gooseberries, citrus, grassy asparagus characters and spicy herbs. Clean dry finish with crisp acidity and a long aftertaste of herbaceous gooseberries, grassy asparagus characters, spicy cedar and dried herbs.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
