2017 Barking Mad Watervale Shiraz

Matured in French oak hogsheads for 18 months. Dense pitch black core with a deep dark red black hue. The nose offers up aromas of liquorice and dark plums followed by hints of mint, vanillin cedar and spice. Texturally plush and rich, flavours of dark plum, black cherry and liquorice are overlaid by some prominent toasty vanillin oak with spice the back drop. Velvet smooth tannins. Medium length aftertaste.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
