2017 Barossa Boy Lifeblood Shiraz

Matured for 22 months in a combination of 70% French oak and 30% American oak (30% new).
Dense midnight black heart with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Wafting out of the glass are heady aromas of dark plum, blackberry, liquorice and mocha which are followed by vanillin oak and earth notes. Rich blackberry, dark plum and liquorice fruits have an opulent feel with vanillin oak, earthy mocha and pepper elements lying underneath. Polished yet sturdy tannin structure. Concludes medium to long and fleshy yet relatively refined.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
