2017 Burn Cottage Pinot Noir
Certified organic, the fruit was fermented with 13% whole clusters and matured in French oak of which 25% was new. Deep dark red purple colour with black tinged edges and a dark purple hue. The nose offers up intoxicating scents of violets, dark cherries and plum which are quite perfumed like. Notions of anise, lightly toasted oak, forest floor, subtle dried herbs and spice follow on. Rich, boldy flavoured and supple in its feel, intense dark to black cherry, plum and ripe strawberry fruits are interwoven with anise, subtlety toasted oak, dried herbs and spice. Outstanding power wave with silky tannins and well integrated acidity. Concludes long, expansive and delicious.
Cellar 6-8 years.
Alc. 13.5%
Other Reviews…..
I never swallow samples during tasting but got pretty close with this wine. It’s just so damn delicious with layer upon layer of fruit and savoury characters that defy description. A tease of fruit sweetness is balanced by gentle tannins and subtle acidity that drive a very lengthy finish. A seriously good Pinot Noir.

This has very attractive, ripe red-cherry and plum aromas with spicy and sappy complexity, sitting in such a pure mode. The palate has a very composed and compact, layered feel with pristine blueberry, dark-cherry and plum flavors, delivered in an elegant, regal style. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold.
