2017 Cape Mentelle Sauvignon Blanc Semillon

A blend of 61% Sauvignon Blanc and 39% Semillon with 2% of the wine barrel fermented. Brilliant water like colour with a faint greenish tinge around the outskirts. Herbaceous grassy top notes intermix with unripe gooseberry, citrus, asparagus, faint capsicum and light pencil shaving characters. Vibrant gooseberry and citrusy mineral flavours drive the mouth watering palate with herbaceous grassy characters, light capsicum and hints of spicy pencil shavings also apparent. Linear mouthfeel, finishing very dry with crisp refreshing acidity. Aftertaste of citrusy mineral, gooseberries, herbaceous grassy characters, subtle infusions of capsicum and light pencil shavings.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
