2017 Chateau Tanunda Grand Barossa Shiraz

Matured for 18 months in a combination of new and seasoned American and French oak barrels. Dense black dark red core with a dark red black tinged hue. Lifted liquorice and aniseed like aromas mix with blackberry, vanillin oak, hints of dark chocolate and spice. Rich liquorice, dark plum and blackberry aromas have a plush textural feel and are underpinned by toasty vanillin oak and spicy blackpepper. Well integrated velvet like tannins. Good depth concluding with a medium to long aftertaste of liquorice laced black fruits, toasty oak and spicy pepper.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
