2017 Domaine de Bellene Maison Dieu Bourgogne Pinot Noir Vieilles Vignes

Fruit was sourced from vines with an average age of 68 years old and maturation took place in French oak barrels. Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a bright purple red hue. Fragrant aromas of violets, ripe cherries and a dash of sour cherries blossom from the glass followed by dried herb, subtle earth and faint spicy clove notes. Light and vibrant the palate is elegantly decorated with juicy red cherry and strawberry flavours underpinned by subtle earthy incense infusions, fresh herbs and spice. Refined tannins with a fresh youthful finish and bright acidity. Good depth and a medium to long aftertaste.
