Rich, sumptuous and made entirely from Grenache, this is a blockbuster Cotes du Rhone

Made predominately from 70 year old Grenache vines. Opaque dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Pronounced black cherry and black raspberry aromas intermingle with liquorice, scorched earth, herbs du Provence and spice. Rich, full bodied and ripe the palate is swamped with opulent black raspberry and black cherry fruit which meets up with liquorice, earthy incense characters and spicy dried herbs. Fleshy mouthfeel with ripe, chewy tannins lending support. Lengthy, black fruit driven conclusion.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.

Made from 100% old vine Grenache sourced all from Cairanne (this blend is illegal for the appellation), the 2017 Côtes du Rhône Marcel Roche offers more kirsch, dried garrigue, pepper, and dried flowers, with a ripe, powerful, silky style. It tastes like a top Châteauneuf-du-Pape and is going to drink beautifully right out of the gate.
